Painter born in Harowden, Bedfordshire, the son of artist Robert Winchester Fraser, and related to the wider Fraser family. In order to distinguish himself from his better-known father, he signed himself 'Robert Winter' but there are few known exhibits by him other than at the RI. He died at St. Ives, Cambridgeshire.
