Robert W. Macbeth - Original 1903 Etching. Etching on silk. Pencil signed. Pencil inscribed: 'Made in England' and 'After the Coursing'. Inscribed in the plate: 'London Published January 7th 1903 by WR Howell & Co Bedford Rour Chambers wc Copyright registered'. The silk is affixed at the corners with tape to backing paper, which is inscribed 'An original etching', 'The Mermaid Inn', 'After the Cousing (at the Old World Village of Lydd, Sussex', 'Scarce proof by Robert W Macbeth'. There are scattered fine marks on the silk in the margins, and a faint black smudgy mark in the left margin. The image is in fine condition.Size
