Overall the condition is very good for a picture of this age. Light discolouration to the paper. Marks and scuffs to the frame.

Artist Biography
Robert W. Little (1854-1944) was a painter and printmaker born in Greenock, Renfrewshire, and the son of a well-to-do Glasgow ship owner and insurance agent. He studied at Glasgow University, the British Academy, Rome, the Royal Scottish Academy Schools, and in Paris. Little was elected a member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters in 1901 and Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour in 1885. Little was a prolific exhibitor. He is recorded as having shown at least 870 paintings in his long career. His exhibitions include the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, Dowdeswells, Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts, Walker Art Gallery, Royal Academy, Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours, Royal Institute of Oil Painters, Royal Scottish Academy, Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour, and Royal Watercolour Society. Examples of his work are in the collections of the Royal Watercolour Society and McLean Museum and Art Gallery.
