Artist Biography
Robert Taylor Carson (1919-2008) was an Irish painter who adopted an impressionistic style. His subjects included figures, portraits, and landscapes; he often worked in oils, watercolours, and pastels. Carson was made a member of the Royal Ulster Academy in 1975, and a member of the Ulster Water Colour Society in 1983. His work has been exhibited regularly throughout Ireland, America, and Europe. His paintings are held in various public and private collections, including The National Self Portrait Collection and the University of Limerick.
