A finely detailed engraving by Sir Robert Strange (1721-1792) after a 1635/6 painting by Sir Anthony van Dyck (1599-1641), which is still held in the Royal Collection. The work depicts the three eldest children of King Charles I: Charles II, Mary and James II. Inscribed below the image within the plate. Smartly presented in a black frame. On paper.
Condition
The artwork presents very well, with only minimal wear consistent with age such as discolouration and foxing to the paper. The frame has some minor scuffs to the lower right corner but is otherwise in very good condition.
