An artist's proof etching by Robert Walker Macbeth ARA (1848-1910), after a watercolour by Frederick Walker ARA (1840-1875) entitled 'The Rainy Day', a street scene in the village of Bisham, Berkshire. Publishers inscribed in plate as 'E.E. Leggatt, 62 Cheapside, 1st Aug 1887'. Signed below the etching by R.W. Macbeth. Signed. On wove.

In fine condition. Only some very small surface marks and minor marks to the frame.

Artist Biography

Robert Walker Macbeth (1848-1910) was a painter and engraver born in Glasgow. The son of painter Norman Macbeth, he was educated at Edinburgh, in Friedrichsdorf, Germany, and the Royal Scottish Academy Schools.
