Description

An exceptionally fine 19th century engraving of the Honorable Frances Duncombe, by British printmaker Robert Graves (1798-1873). After an original oil painting by Sir Thomas Gainsborough. The engraving has been beautifully executed with delicate stippling and later hand colouring. Well-presented in a complimenting wash-line mount and reeded gilt frame. Unsigned. On paper.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration.
