The artist shows an expert hand in the keen attention to detail within the scene, with finely painted foliage and figures. Signed to the lower right. Artist Biography
Richard Norbury is recorded to have exhibited at The Royal Scottish Academy Exhibition, 1826, 1855 and 1862. He also exhibited at Liverpool autumn exhibition of modern pictures in 1875.
