The Reverend Maurice Frederic Foxell (1888-1981) was a British clergyman, artist, and author. He received his education at The Queen's College, Oxford. He held offices in the Church of England including assistant curate at St Paul's, Hammersmith, minor canon at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, as well as roles at St Paul's Cathedral. Foxell served as Deputy Clerk of the Closet, the domestic chaplain to King George VI and Queen Elizabeth II.
Noted for his printmaking and watercolours, his watercolour Trees and Barn is displayed by the Government Art Collection in London. He also has work in the collection of the British Museum, London, and a portrait of him by Walter Bird in is the collection of the National Portrait Gallery. Some of his private papers are now held by the Imperial War Museum.
