A beautiful, almost square, late 19th century bird's eye maple picture frame with bolection profile. Complete with internal gilt slip and glazing. The wood has excellent surface colour and burr details. The gilt slip has a lovely patina.
Measurements for the frame: Window 30cm x 26.5cm. Rebate 35cm x 31cm. Overall size 43cm x 29.5cm.
Condition
There is a small chip to the upper left-hand corner and light wear to the internal gilt slip. Some discolouration and candle mark damage to the lower rail.
