Further islands and vessels can be seen in the background, bringing scale to the mighty red rockface, front and centre. The painting is well presented in an attractive gilt frame. Signed 'R. Steele' to the lower right and dated '85. On canvas.Condition
Signs of wear consistent with age. The painting has undergone previous restoration. The canvas has been fully relined and the surface of the painting cleaned. Some minor abrasion and paint loss to the canvas edge. The gilt effect frame is in good condition with only a small loss to the upper left hand corner. The overall condition of the artwork is very good.
