An interesting pastel drawing of a nude woman resting her head in her hand, signed 'R.Kray'. The study is accompanied by a prisoner application form from Wayland prison, shown in the images above. The infamous 'Reggie' Kray was transferred to Wayland prison shortly before his release in 2000 and this form seems to confirm his identity as the artist. However in comparison to his other works sold at auction, it is clear the quality of this work is far superior to Kray's artistic ability. Due to the considerable number of fake Kray twin artworks in circulation, we feel this particular study cannot be attributed to 'Reggie' Kray. Signed and dated. On laid.
Condition
There is a 2cm tear to the lower left edge and another to the upper right. Overall the appearance is very good.
