This delightful mid-century watercolour depicts a rural landscape with figures strolling the riverside path. Much of the composition take inspiration from the naive landscape artists of the 19th century, however the telegraph poles promptly bring the scene back into the 20th century. Signed with initials to the lower right. The painting has been beautifully presented in a wash-line mount and gilt-effect frame. On watercolour paper.
Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and light foxing. The frame and mount are in fine condition.
