A richly decorated interior scene by Hungarian painter Piroska Juszkó (1907–1999). Persian rugs and cushions furnish the room, with draped fabrics running throughout the space. A tambourine and round hand mirror rest among the cushions, whilst a small inlaid wooden tabouret holds an open trinket box and a red enamel vessel. The work is signed lower left. On canvas.
Condition
A light, even patina of age is present across the surface of the artwork. Minor surface marks and abrasions throughout. Inspection under UV light reveals no apparent restoration. The artwork is in good condition for its age.
