One of eight prints by Pietro Santi Bartoli after a fresco by Polidoro da Caravaggio and Maturino da Firenze in the Palazzo Gaddi, Rome, depicting the arrival of the Etruscans in Latium. The print series was dedicated to Giovanni Pietro Bellori. Lettered under the image "Polydorus Carauagiensis Inuentor' and 'Petrus Sancti Bartoli delin et incid.' Unsigned. On laid. Condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration, age toning and small creasing. Trimmed within the plate line, trimmed within image line to the right hand edge.
