There is a small spot of black discolouration to the top right sky area,as shown in photos. Otherwise the painting is in fine condition and inspection under UV light reveals no restoration. Very minor scuffing to edges of frame. Bottom left corner of frame has been painted over in gold, as shown.

Peter Semberger was born in Austria and studied at the Art High School in Vienna from 1939 to 1944 under Prof. Braun and Reinhold Klausner. He later attended the Art Academy in Vienna and studied under Prof. Dachauer. It was here that he developed his unique style of painting and became quite well known for his street scenes. After several study trips through Italy, Yugoslavia, and England he develioped his unique style even more. He has had several exhibitions throughout Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. His painting can be found in leading art galleries throughout Europe and are also very popular among the American art conscious public.
