There is stable craquelure across the surface and some discolouration to the varnish. There are some small marks to the surface and scuffs around the edge of the canvas. Overall in good condition.

Peter Macgregor Wilson RSA RSW (1856-1928) was born in Glasgow and studied at the Glasgow School of Art as well as in London and Antwerp. He travelled widely, working in America, India, Persia, Russia and Europe. Wilson was primarily known for his landscapes and river scenes. He became a member of the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolours (1887) and exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Walker Art Gallery (Liverpool), the Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts, the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolours, and the Royal Scottish Academy.
