There is some minor surface dirt but overall the condition is good. Minor scuffs to the corners of the canvas. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration.

Painter, born in Derby he studied at Derby School of Art before winning a scholarship to the Royal College of Art in 1958. His group exhibitions include Young Contemporaries and the John Moores Liverpool Exhibitions. He has also shown at the Camden Arts Centre and was on the staff at Nottingham College of Art. His work is in the collection of the ACGB.
