Peter Carreras (b.1921) is a well known printmaker based in West Sussex. Born in London, he grew up in Worthing and later in life studied printmaking at Putney School of Art and at Northbrook College in Worthing. He has exhibited widely in London and throughout Sussex. In 2008 he donated a large body of his work to the Sussex Heritage Trust. “From the age of four,” Carreras recalls, “either playing along the sea shore or, later, walking the Downs with my friends from Worthing High School, or cycling out with them to discover villages and windmills, I grew up feeling that Sussex was a part of me, and I always have."
