Hickling was also a prominent illustrator for magazines The Sphere, The Graphic and The Strand.
Cartoonist and illustrator, Percy Bell Hickling was born in Nottingham but raised in Knighton, in mid-Wales. He became an illustrator, mainly working with children books however he was also a prominent illustrator for magazines of the time.
