A colourful free hand machine embroidery of Biddulph Grange gardens near Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. Depicted within this delightful summer garden scene is a Chinese style bridge, arched over an ornamental river. The artist has scattered a range of textiles in an impressionistic manner, and then machined on top in various coloured cotton thread. The work is illegibly signed by the artist to the lower left-hand corner. Well presented in a double bevelled mount and slim wooden frame. Fixed to the reverse is a signed artist label. Glazed. On Bond-a-web.
