Artist Biography
Painter, born in Bedford and studied at the Slade School of Fine Art London 1961-66. During the year 2000, she was artist in residence at the unlikely Letchworth based heavy automotive engineering plant of Chasestead. During her residency she created an exhibit of wall hangings and metal sculptures resulting in her winning a major award - The Art at Work Award 2000. Examples of her work are in the collections of the Slade School of Fine Art, Victoria and Albert Museum, London, UCL Art Museum, Worcester College, Oxford, University of Southampton, Bradford Art Gallery, Eastern Arts Association, the ACGB, Graphotek, Berlin, Norwich Castle Museum and Galleries, Bedfordshire, Nottingham and Suffolk Education Authorities, Dulwich and Greenwich Borough Councils, London, West Yorkshire County Council, Suffolk Information and Library Service and King Edward VI School, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk.
