Paul Perreaut (1908-1979) was a self taught painter born into a family of artists in Burgundy, France. As an adult he worked as a framer before turning his attention to painting full time.
He became accomplished in oil painting and drawing, preferring to paint onto card rather than canvas.
He received a gold medal in 1978 at Salon des Beaux-Arts in Lyon. He exhibited widely, with his work being shown in France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and the US.
