An atmospheric watercolour painting by the British artist Paul Mann, depicting a river scene. Signed to the lower right-hand corner. The title is inscribed to the opposite corner. The artist's name is inscribed on the reverse, Presented in a double washline card mount and in a dark wooden frame. On watercolour paper.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration, otherwise in good condition. Some marks to the mount and small scuffs to the frame.

Artist Biography

Paul Mann is a British visual artist who was born in 1907. He was a painter who experimented with new cellulose colours. Several works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'A Pair: Female dancers' sold at Peter Wilson Fine Art Auctioneers 'Fine Art Sale' in 2014.
