Artist Biography
Patti Harford was born in Mid Wales in 1952, and moved to Bradford on Avon as a child. Having always had an interest in art and creativity, she has many years experience with watercolour, her favourite medium.
With a focus on the fluidity of paint, her recent work explores new ways of achieving her characteristic light and loose affect. While exploring a larger scale of work, Harford has been experimenting with mixing materials with watercolour. Ppastels and soft pencil are also a prominent feature, most particularly seen in her animal portraits, producing the variety of textures apt for the fur and feather of her current favourite subject.
