Patricia Lomax (b.1934) - Signed 2002 Oil Mere Red
Description
A vibrant abstract expressionist composition by the British artist Patricia Lomax. Much of her work is derived from the landscape around her. The expressive brushstrokes and bold, strong marks Lomax has used draws the eye to the dynamic composition. Patricia's work has been influenced by the tumultuous decades through which she has lived, "filtered through the lens of a cheerful and optimistic nature". It is clear to see within this work how Lomax is drawn to strong colours and contemporary style. Signed, dated and inscribed on reverse, as shown. Signed, dated and incribed on the reverse. On canvas on stretchers.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some surface dirt and minor surface scuffs resulting in some very minor paint loss. Overall, in good condition.
