Patricia Howells trained at Cardiff College of Art and gained the National Diploma in Design, special subject Painting and Anatomy. After gaining an Art Teacher’s Diploma in 1952 Patricia taught in local schools before establishing her own Studio in Chepstow in 1975. Living in the Welsh borders Howells had the stunning landscapes of the Wye Valley, Brecon Beacons, and the Forest of Dean to study. In 1986 Patricia was elected as a member of the Society of Botanical Artists. Her work has been exhibited in Galleries all over Great Britain, including London where she returned each year to sell her work from the Chalk Farm Gallery, Camden. Howells continued to work on her own personal projects alongside her weekly Art Classes until her retirement at the grand age of 89.
