A charming gouache and watercolour painting by the listed British artist Patric Stevenson PPRUA, depicting a sea view. The artist has used a thoughtful colour palette with expressive sweeping strokes to expertly portray the scene. Artist Biography

Patric Stevenson was born in Wadhurst, Sussex and was educated at Methodist College, Belfast. From 1926 to 1928, Stevenson studied at the Belfast School of Art, and later at the Slade School, London. During World War II, he served in the Royal Air Force as a radar mechanic and was a lecturer in art and music in Tring, Hertfordshire, 1946-50, when he relocated to Ulster. He was President of the Royal Ulster Academy, and examples of his work are in the Ulster Museum, Armagh County Museum and the Waterford Municipal Art Gallery. He exhibited on a few occasions at the Royal Hibernian Academy and at Limerick City Art Gallery.
