David Veasey for Liberty - Original 1901 Antiques. An original David Veasey for Liberty Tudric Pewter Rose Bowl with fine old patina. Stamped on the bottom simply TUDRIC 011. Diameter of the bowl 24 cm, about 32 cm handle to handle and height 11 cm. Very heavy. I think this has been used as a planter as the inside is quite corroded - the entire piece looks genuinely old and may never have been polished. The inscription is from a verse from Alfred Lord Tennyson's Come into the Garden Maud "And the musk of the rose is blown and the woodbine spices are wafted abroad". The foot is simpler than later versions of this bowl.
