A hand-coloured engraving of a military costume, from a series published in the British Military Library or Journal. Inscriptions read: 'A Light Infantry Officer on the Right of his Company, the Left in Front' and '50th. Regiment of Foot: Black Facings, white Lace, with red Stripe. The 58th. 64th. & 70th. Reg. have also black Facings; the 64th. has a red & a black Stripe, & the 70th. a narrow black worm Stripe.' Presented in a washline mount. With backing board label from The Parker Gallery, Albermarle Street, London. Unsigned and inscribed. On wove.Condition
Overall condition is good for a picture of this age including some light discolouration and foxing.
