Painter, poster designer and book illustrator working in England during the first half of the 20th century. Hopking was born in Dalston, east London, the son of a tea merchant, but as yet nothing is known of his art education. He illustrated books by Enid Blyton and exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Dudley Gallery and the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours. Three posters designed by Hopking for the Canadian Government promoting Canadian tinned soups, cheese and butter, and tinned peas are illustrated in the February 1932 issue of Commercial Art and Industry. His death was recorded in Horsham, Sussex.
