Description

A very fine reproduction of a Meiji period Japanese woodblock print by listed printmaker Nishiyama Kan'ei (1833-1897). Originally of a Kan'ei Picture Album published in 1886. The striking green and red tones beautifully complement the natural hues of the Japanese Tit or Parus Minor bird. Signed. On wove.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. With a foxing spot visible to the centre of the artwork. and light scuffing to the edges of the frame.
