Nigel Ashcroft is a painter, especially in watercolour, who was born in Heemstede, Holland, living in Sweden and Eire as a child before moving to England in 1965.
After education at Berkhamsted School, he studied briefly at Gloucester College of Art in 1969. He exhibited in mixed shows at RA, RWA and abroad, including the Dordogne, France, where he spent many summers painting. His solo shows at Frost & Reed, were of notably buildings, landscapes and everyday objects.
