Nicolas Dorigny after Raphael - Original 18th Century Engraving. Fixed at the corners to backing paper. Engraved after Raphael's original 1515 series of painted designs for tapestries, 'The Raphael Cartoons', commissioned by Pope Leo X for the Sistine Chapel. Condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and age toning. A vertical crease down the centre. Lower left corner is very fragile where fixed to the backing paper, with multiple small tears. Other small surface abrasions and stains. Trimmed within the plate margins
