Nicolas Dorigny after Raphael - Original 18th Century Engraving. Engraved after Raphael's original 1515 series of painted designs for tapestries, 'The Raphael Cartoons', commissioned by Pope Leo X for the Sistine Chapel. Condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and age toning. Some small creases to lower right corner. Some small surface abrasions, a few small tiny damages in the dark passage to the lower left, not immediately noticeable. Trimmed within plate margins, laid to wove paper.
