Nicholas Mace (b.1949) is a largely self-taught painter who was born in London. From early childhood he has been fascinated by wildlife and field sport and his painting has developed along these themes. On leaving school he worked for a short time in a commercial art studio and he subsequently set about teaching himself to paint. Since then his achievements in sporting paintings have been shown at the Omell Galleries, London, and in the USA.
