Artist Biography
Miriam MacGregor is an engraver and illustrator, born in Shillong, Assam, India. She came to England when she was ten. Macgregor studied at Hastings School of Art, 1951 and at the Guildford School of Art. In 1977 she joined the Whittington Press, Gloucestershire and has illustrated several books for them and for other quality publishers including the Folio Society.
She exhibited in the 75th anniversary exhibition of the Society of Wood Engravers at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. Her grandfather was the painter Archie Macgregor.
