Description
A fine miniature Biedermeier-era portrait, depicting a young, dark-haired lady in an elegant Empire-line gown. Her lustrous hair is arranged in delicate corkscrew curls that frame her face and fall softly to her shoulders, lending her an air of refined grace and quiet romanticism. Unsigned. Well presented in an ornate gilt frame. On copper.Condition
Fine craquelure and light abrasions throughout. Some discolouration to the varnish. Inspection under UV light reveals small areas of restoration. Overall the artwork is in very good condition for its age. Some wear to the frame, including scuffs, chips and stable cracks.
