Description

A wonderfully detailed 19th century silhouette depicting the delicate profile of Mr C. Edgar. Presented in its original ebonised frame with brass oval window and decorative thistle and rose hanger. Part of a pair of portraits with the other capturing Mr Edgar's wife. Inscribed verso. On paper.

Condition

The overall condition of the miniature is very good. There is some age discolouration to the paper and the dust seal is missing to the reverse.
