Miniature Original 19th Century Crystoleum. A portrait of a seated Victorian lady, using a process of transferring a photographic to the reverse of glass, with some gold detail. The process is similar to Crystoleum, but there is no colour apart from the gold detail to her belt and neckline. Presented in a decorative frame. Unsigned. Condition is typical of a work of this age, with some wear to the frame and mount, and dirt under the old glass. There are some surface abrasions to the background support.
