An attractive Mid 20th century pastel study recreating a typical scene from the 19th century period. The artist has captured two women fetching water from a nearby river in carefully blended soft pastels. This technique give a romanticised feel to the whole composition and a preferred view of the period. Unsigned. On paper.
Condition
There are several surface marks and smudged to the picture to include a 15cm vertical mark starting near the top right corner. The overall condition of the drawing is good.
