A fine mid 20th Century oil scene showing a rustic watermill and its outbuildings, on a quaint, rural canal lock. The painting is unsigned and has been handsomely presented in a gilt frame with low relief acanthus leaf strap work and lamb's tongue molding. On canvas.

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There is some craquelure to the surface.
