A wonderful 19th century portrait of a young woman with her sewing basket. Inscribed by a later hand to the reverse 'My great, great aunt Jane. painted by Miss Givens 18(6?)4'. Unsigned. Well presented in a simple gilt effect frame. On paper.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and foxing. Minor marks to the frame.
