A very fine mid 19th century watercolour depicting the River Avon, looking towards Clifton, Bristol. The Clifton Suspension Bridge appears under construction, dating this work to between 1831 and 1864. Georgian townhouses can be seen on the hillside, with vessels on the river and grazing sheep in the foreground. Unsigned. On paper.

In very good condition, especially for a picture of this age. Some very light discolouration, mainly to the edges, with very light foxing.
