Michael Oelman was a printmaker, born in Llandudno, Wales. He studied at Reading University, 1960-64 and at Central School of Arts & Crafts and the Slade School of Art, 1964-65. In 1966 he won a French Government Scholarship and 1969 travelled to the Far East. By 1970 he had exhibited at the Stedlijk Museum, Amsterdam, followed by an exhibition at the Bluecoat Gallery, Liverpool in the same year. He has etchings in the collection of Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum, ACGB and the Tate Gallery.
