Matthew Hilton (b.1948) - Signed Original 1987 Linoprint. Linocut in colours by the listed artist Matthew Hilton (son of well known British Modern artist Roger Hilton). The technique used for this print is called reduction block linoprint in which the edition is guaranteed because the block is progressively destroyed. Signed, dated and numbered (Block 23 2/3) to lower margin. On thin laid paper. Signed. On laid. Areas of foxing to borders of page and to uncoloured areas on print.

Matthew Hilton is an English artist, best known as a print-maker. Born in London in 1948, Matthew is the son of a well-known painter Roger Hilton – pioneer of abstract art in post-WWII Britain. Matthew Hilton exhibited his artworks across the UK and is currently living in France.
