An eye-catching dynamic silkscreen print by the listed artist Mary Beresford-Williams, entitled 'Gale Warning'. The scene depicts a lone figure on the cliff edge, with a small pavilion building and tall trees. A park bench balances the composition. On wove laid to another piece of wove. Well-presented in a metallic frame. Signed and dated and inscribed. On wove.


In very good condition overall. Only some light surface marks to the frame.

Artist Biography

Mary Beresford-Williams (b.1931) was a painter, printmaker and photographer, born in London. She studied at Reading University where she obtained a degree in Fine Arts. A member of the Newlyn Society of Artists, she has shown in various group exhibitions including Newlyn Orion Gallery and Attic Gallery, Swansea. She has also exhibited with the NEAC, RWA and at the Burton Art Gallery, Bideford, Devon.
