Martin Rumary - 20th Century Gouache Kingfisher
Description
A fine study of a Kingfisher bird perched on a branch. Just back from a hunt, water drips from its beak. The artist has painted the feathers and greenery in stunning detail.
Martin Rumary was born in London but moved to the Mendip Hills in Somerset at a young age where he developed a keen interest in nature, particularly birds. His focus on painting birds has remained throughout his career, experimenting with mediums to figure out how best to capture these small creatures. Signed.
