A delightful still life study by the well listed artist Marion Broom RWS (1878-1962) depicting a brilliant bloom of plentiful white peonies in a cobalt glazed vase. Signed to the lower right. Well presented behind glass in a washed wooden frame. On paper.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and light foxing to the paper. There are small imperfections to the glass. Light wear to the frame including scuffs, chips and indentations throughout.

Artist Biography
Marion Broom RWS (1878-1962) studied at the Royal College of Music and sang in opera for a time. A painter in oil and watercolour, Broom was a prolific exhibitor, showing at the Abbey Gallery, Arlington Gallery, Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, Cooling Galleries, Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts, Walker Art Gallery, Royal Academy of Arts, Royal Cambrian Academy, Royal Hibernian Academy, Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours, Royal Institute of Oil Painters and Society of Women Artists. She lived at High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire and her work is in the collection of Leamington Spa Art Gallery.
