A fine contemporary pastel beach scene from British artist Maria Burgess Whinney (1914–1995). Whinney regularly captured the character of Guernsey in all forms, and in recent years her paintings and sketches have become particularly sought after. There are a few surface scratches to the frame. Overall the appearance is very good.
